You will need the following documents to be able to apply for OVERNIGHT PARKING in Ossining:
  • VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE.
  • CURRENT VEHICLE REGISTRATION. (Not a photo of the vehicle window-affixed sticker) If your vehicle registration is not in your name – you are required to provide a notarized letter (in English) from the vehicle owner stating that he/she is giving you permission to drive such vehicle in Ossining. Make sure letter provides Car VIN number, license plate #, and contact information of vehicle owner and copy of his License.
  • CURRENT INSURANCE CARD.
  • ADDITIONAL PROOF OF ADDRESS (Any bill, lease, bank statement, utility bill, etc.) which shows the applicant’s name and address. For paper application, residents of an apartment or condo complex, must obtain and provide letter (with a current date) from the management company confirming there is no parking available, either paid or free, for the vehicle.
  • PICTURE OF THE SIDE AND FRONT OF THE VEHICLE, INCLUDING THE PLATE NUMBER.
  • Non-Refundable application fee of $90 PER VEHICLE
    • Check or Money Order payable to: “Village of Ossining”.
    • Cash accepted in person only, please bring EXACT AMOUNT.
    • Debit/Credit Cards ** 3.1% fee will be assessed
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
  • You are allowed to put up to two cars on one application. Make sure you provide the required documents for each vehicle. One car per valid driver’s license.
  • Paper application will be accepted by mail or in person application at Clerk’s Office at 16 Croton Avenue, Ossining, NY 10562. Make sure you bring all the above documents.
  • Any outstanding/unpaid parking fines and penalties will be checked while processing the application. No permanent overnight parking permit will be issued if the applicant and/or vehicle has three or more unpaid parking tickets.
  • Completed applications will be provided a temporary permit (in person or by mail from the Clerk’s Office). Once the application is approved a permanent permit will be mailed to the address on the application (usually within one month after the completed application is received).
  • The overnight street parking permits are non-transferable to another vehicle and/or property address. Permits must be displayed correctly on the vehicle. See below.

WE WILL NOT PROVIDE AN OVERNIGHT STREET PARKING PERMIT UNDER ANY EXCEPTION, TO ANY VEHICLE THAT WEIGHS MORE THAN 8,000 LBS., USED FOR BUSINESS PURPOSES WITH OR WITHOUT COMMERICAL PLATES, IF IT IS WRAPPED OR HAS COMPANY BANNERS OF ANY KIND ON THEM.
